Matt’s career to date has been spent in the arena of commercial strategy and business management – both in corporate life as well as professional sport and entertainment. A graduate of Cambridge University, he has worked for the likes of NBA and MTV as well as in management consultancy.
Matt co-founded Two Circles with Gareth Balch in 2011 and led the business as Chief Executive until early 2016. During this period the business was able to balance rapid growth with exceptional client and team retention. Matt’s current focus in his role as Chairman is to support and challenge the Two Circles management team to deliver results. Within this role Matt remains actively engaged in Two Circles’ thought leadership and international growth strategy.
Matt has been published by the likes of Harvard Business Review and the Journal of Sports Management as well as co-authoring a well-received book on London 2012. He is a regular contributor to the media around the evolution of the business of sports, and was a Board Director of the European Sponsorship Association for five years.
