With a keen interest in the world of sport and business, Gareth studied Sport Business Management in Leeds where he graduated with first class honours. His first entry point into the world of data was for sports marketing agency, Sponsorship Science, in the United States. Working with both rights holders and brands across NASCAR, IndyCar, NBA and Tour de France he analysed digital, television and print audience data to provide clients a clear understanding of their assets’ media value, as well as providing key insights and recommendations for optimising and activating sponsorships.
Gareth’s career since then has primarily been focused on unlocking the value of customer data. This led him to running data and CRM projects in China for a technology start-up and for a global conferencing business based in the UK. Eager to re-enter the sports industry, Gareth joined Two Circles towards the end of 2014. Since then he has proven experience in providing insight consultancy that has enabled rights holders to succeed in meeting key performance business objectives across participation, ticketing, hospitality and OTT streaming subscriptions.
In 2016 Gareth was one of the first members of the Two Circles team to join the growing office in Bern, Switzerland. Although he still finds time to play and watch football, you are more likely to finding him exploring the Swiss Alps at the weekends while he contemplates his next sporting challenge – which at the time of writing looks set to be the 51km trail run around the Eiger Mountain.
