Fern joined Two Circles in September 2017 after spending her undergraduate years at Oxford University. She divided her time there between the library and the sports field and, despite a few literal knock backs (all sports related), graduated in 2016 with a history degree. She spent the following year in Japan learning the language, travelling, and getting stuck into local life (including eating copious amounts of soba noodles). With over seven years of competitive running behind her and fingers in several sporting pies throughout university, she was keen to jump into the sports sector upon her return to England.
Fern’s first sport was middle distance running, which she pursued throughout school in the form of cross country. She then branched out into various new sports at Oxford, including pistol shooting, fencing, Frisbee, football, and rugby among others. If she’s not watching Olympics videos on YouTube, Fern can be found cheering on the All Blacks as they continue their campaign of world domination.
