Andy graduated with a degree in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2011 before joining a graduate consultancy programme with EY. Having worked for a number of central government clients in major process improvement projects, his next move took him back north of the border and into the sports industry. As a proud Scot, he jumped at the chance to work professionally at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, his home games, and joined the Organising Committee as Integrated Planning Manager. Andy’s role saw him work across all functional areas and venues to ensure operational readiness for the 11 days of competition as well as supporting the COO before and during Games Time.
Following the successful delivery of the Games, Andy returned to London, taking a position with Bloomberg LP working with the major international stock exchanges to distribute their data to Bloomberg Professional Service users. Andy couldn’t shake off the urge to stay in the world of sport however and joined Two Circles in June 2017.
Andy is an all-round sports enthusiast with a particular interest in football. He plays regularly, and likes to think of himself as a combative centre midfielder. When not playing football, he enjoys running and cycling to keep fit and has taken on a few major marathons over the past few years. He enjoys working his way through the Open Championship venues (watching, not playing) but regrettably is a hopeless golfer. Andy is fluent in German and keeps a sports blog, Sport Matters.
